Content Editor II

The content editor will edit content to ensure biblical accuracy, brand alignment, and educational appropriateness. This person will work with a team in support of the editorial process under the leadership of a team leader.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings.

Responsibilities

  • Edit content that aligns with the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000, brand distinctives, conservative evangelical theology , and with sensitivity to potentially controversial issues
  • Perform production tasks including the recruiting and training of writers as directed by the team leader , acceptance of submissions, and initiating the payment process
  • Collaborate with other members of the adult BSFL team and the M a sterWork team in the ideation and development of the resource
  • Manage MasterWork blog site/content

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree

Master’s from seminary preferred , MRE, MDiv, MCM, MM

Minimum Required Experience:

3 years of church or denominational experience,

3 years of editorial experience

Preferrred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

InCopy, Wordpress
