About The Team 

Fanatics is a prominent and innovative organization in the sports and trading cards industry, dedicated to creating exceptional event experiences for collectors, fans, and enthusiasts. Our newest platform, Fanatics Events, provides a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with athletes, discover exclusive collectibles, and immerse themselves in the vibrant sports and trading cards community. As we continue to expand our event portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Content Director to join our team in NYC.  

Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Director of Event Talent Management to join our team. In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects related to talent management, content creation, and travel logistics for our events.

The candidate will be expected to attend all the events we produce, providing exceptional customer service to our internal and external partners, and most importantly – the fans. The role will require travel to various venues and events globally. While offering hybrid work options, this role requires an average of one week per month at our New York office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Event Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the VP and Leadership team to develop panel and content strategy and focus on talent management and Fanatics Events execution.
  • Compile a targeted list of guests and talent for each show that creates excitement for fans.
  • Build sharp, outside-of-the-box experiences that elevate Fanatics events across all of our stages and zones.
  • Develop, oversee, and maintain the run of show schedule.
  • Partner with Producers and external agencies to secure and manage speakers:
  • Negotiate agreements and manage talent logistics in collaboration with legal teams.
  • Coordinate travel logistics including accommodations and ground transportation in order to create the best schedule for the talent on site.
  • Distribute credentials and manage seating arrangements with talent teams.
  • Facilitate creation and delivery of social media assets for promotional purposes.
  • Ensure comprehensive talent details are collected and brought into the panels, fireside chats, Q&As, etc…
  • Manage talent budget allocations.
  • Coordinate talent payments and liaise with accounting as needed.
  • Onsite / Day Of Show Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for talent and their management on the day of the event.
  • Oversee the check-in process for talent with external staffing.
  • Manage Talent escorts to ensure smooth transitions between green rooms, stages, featured zones, booths, and more.
  • Collaborate closely with the live production team to address any onsite challenges or issues and update the run of show in real time.
  • Post-Event Responsibilities:
  • Prepare a comprehensive recap report summarizing attendee feedback, suggestions, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Develop a strategic content rollout plan with Speakers and Partners to maximize the impact of event content.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial reporting requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with talent, agents, and industry contacts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management.
  • Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years in talent management, event coordination, or related fields.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage high-profile personalities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Airtable, Box, and event management software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, or a related field (preferred).

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $202,500, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
