Are you a pro at creating social media videos? Penna Powers is seeking a full-time Content Art Director to lead out on video production for social media, as well as other types of visual and multimedia content creation (photography, graphics, etc.).
This person will be housed in Penna Powers’ creative department and will work day-to-day with our content/social media team.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute video projects for social media from start to finish, including the videography
Understanding of visual space
Understanding of and ability to optimize lighting
Ability to incorporate branding, voice and tone, etc., for a variety of clients
Maintain the highest possible standards of content creation, production and engagement
Develop creative concepts for videos/content (ability to lead content creative projects from ideation to production)
Present and communicate strategic ideas to internal team and clients
Manage logistics of shooting, directing on-screen talent, editing and post-production
Work with Production Manager to coordinate talent, voiceover, video production partners, etc. (third-party vendors)
Work with Content Managers and Account Management Teams to obtain approvals of initial outlines and final videos for posting
Work with Content Managers to act on quick-turn opportunities and social media trends
Hybrid schedule (need to be able to come into the office at least 3 days per week, and travel to and from from Utah/Wasatch Front filming locations)
Be curious, think critically, continue to seek knowledge, and keep up with trends
Be a team player at all times internally, with clients, and with external partners
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience in creative content production (portfolio review and/or reel of previous work required; social media video experience preferred)
Familiar with nuances of creating content for social media vs other types of video:
Basic understanding of the metrics, analytics, and algorithms that relate to video performance on social media
Understanding of storytelling through video, including social media video elements such as hooks and payoffs
Up-to-date with creative trends, industry trends, technology, and best practices
Familiar with video creation within social media and content creation apps (Instagram, CapCut, etc.)
Ability to think strategically on your own as well as in a group
Ability to create strong brands and be a steward for already established brands
Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
Ability to create thought-provoking, creative solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
Strong conflict resolution skills
Professional demeanor with a kind heart and passion for great work
Superb organizational skills to coordinate complicated projects
Solid knowledge and application of Adobe Creative Suite
