We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Consumer Retail Sales and Trading Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing consumer retail trends, monitoring market developments, and executing trading strategies to maximize profitability. You will work closely with senior traders and sales professionals to identify opportunities and manage risks within the consumer retail sector.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough research and analysis of consumer retail markets, including industry trends, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior.
Monitor market news, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to identify potential trading opportunities and risks.
Develop and implement trading strategies to capitalize on market inefficiencies and generate alpha.
Execute trades across various asset classes, including equities, options, and derivatives, to optimize portfolio performance.
Collaborate with sales teams to provide market insights and support client engagement activities.
Maintain trading records and performance metrics, and prepare reports for management review.
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Knowledge of consumer retail industry dynamics, including key drivers and competitive landscape.
Familiarity with trading platforms and order management systems (OMS).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Previous experience in sales and trading, investment banking, or asset management is a plus.
