Construction Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage all on-site activities related to the construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with specific experience in modular or prefabricated building processes. This role requires a hands-on leader who can ensure that all construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the entire construction process from inception to completion.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of each phase.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with project requirements.
    • Read and understand blueprints for all of the projects.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage construction crews, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, expectations, and progress.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure all work meets or exceeds the company’s quality standards and complies with relevant codes and regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify any defects or deviations from the project specifications.
    • Implement and maintain a rigorous quality assurance program.
  • Safety Management:
    • Enforce all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
    • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage the procurement and allocation of materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Monitor and control project costs, working to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
    • Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting any issues or delays and proposing solutions.
    • Document all construction activities, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in construction.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Proficient in construction management software and other relevant tools.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
