We're seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team in a traveling role. As a key member of our organization, you'll oversee construction projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, stay on schedule, and remain within budget.
About The Role
As our Construction Superintendent, you'll be the on-site leader for our projects, coordinating with various stakeholders and managing day-to-day operations. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets
Develop and implement site logistics plans
Perform daily inspections of work and coordinate with subcontractors
Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Ensure adherence to all safety standards and OSHA regulations
Manage small to medium-sized teams on projects of moderate complexity
Coordinate material deliveries and schedule inspections
Participate in project planning and budget reviews
Assist in the drawing and submittal process, verifying accuracy in project management software
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in commercial/industrial or agricultural construction
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Proven ability to manage projects and identify key issues in complex situations
Strong understanding of project scheduling and cost control
Proficiency in reading and interpreting specifications and engineering drawings
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Outbuild)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
OSHA 30 and SWPPP certification preferred
Physical Requirements
This role involves physical demands typical of a construction environment, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at various heights. You'll need to be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
