Construction Superintendent

Westhaven Builders LLC is a growing regional commercial General Contractor headquartered in St. Clair, MI. specializing in Assisted Living Facilities across the country. We are a premier builder for any size project. Whether it is a unique one of kind custom designed and built dream home or a large commercial project we are superior craftsmen. Currently we are seeking a Construction Superintendent with a strong work history in Commercial Building.

Superintendent Responsibilities:

• Supervising and organizing the subcontractors and trades to maintain the project schedule on new construction of a ~70,000 sf assisted living facility.
• Provide daily feedback and updates to the project manager (PM) on the project's status including: schedule; delays; and/or trade solutions needed.
• Coordinating and collaborating with the PM team for all procurements and job site deliveries.
• Communicating and maintaining schedule expectations to trades on a weekly basis.
• Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
• Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
• Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction project meets the architectural and owner's design, safety, and budget specifications.
• Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency, to maintain project within budget and to ensure project stays on schedule.
  
  

Superintendent Requirements:

• 10 years minimum experience in construction and management.
• Proven experience working as a Site Superintendent.
• Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
• The ability to interpret blueprints.
• Outstanding leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Procore experience is a plus
