Construction Superintendent

MTD Painting and Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee upcoming new construction projects involving various trades such as Painting, Drywall, Stucco, Framing, Openings, etc. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring project success by supervising onsite tasks, maintaining schedules, checking quality, conducting punch lists with clients or prime GCs, ensuring safety compliance, and managing daily logs.

Responsibilities:

• Onsite Supervision: Act as the main supervisor for MTD on multiple new construction projects.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure crews adhere to MTD safety manuals and protocols; conduct regular safety meetings.
• Quality Control: Check the quality of work performed by trades and manage punch lists with clients or prime GCs.
• Schedule Management: Monitor and maintain project schedules, ensuring work aligns with contract timelines.
• Daily Logs: Maintain and submit daily logs documenting project progress and any issues.
• Sub-Coordination Meetings: Attend weekly sub-coordination meetings with the Lead Contractor to ensure effective project coordination.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with both onsite crews and GCs to drive schedules and ensure contract compliance.
• Scope Monitoring: Continuously monitor the scope of work to ensure all contract requirements are met.
• Progress Tracking: Work with MTD project managers to ensure billing is up to date and subcontractors are paid accurately.

Qualifications:

• Trade Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of trade experience within construction, painting, or a related field.
• Supervisory Experience: 1-2+ years of supervisory or management experience within construction, painting, or a related field.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Multitasking: Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and handle all necessary documentation.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills with GCs, onsite crews, and other stakeholders.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity and proficiency with Office 365 products, including Word, Excel, and OneDrive. Familiarity with Procore is a plus.
• Digital Proficiency: Ability to work digitally from a job site.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and own vehicle for transportation between active projects on a daily/weekly basis (fuel and maintenance reimbursement available).
