Summary Of Position

As a Construction Superintendent supporting our Construction Services business unit, you will be responsible for project oversight of ground up, tenant improvement and retrofit projects. These projects will primarily consist of commercial, retail and energy projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review project documents and verify their accuracy.
  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
  • Coordinate subcontractors work schedules and overall project plans.
  • Provide technical direction and manage productivity.
  • Manage quality and construction costs for multiple projects.
  • Make key decisions associated with scheduling, safety, and budgets.
  • Maintain all on-site documentation including contract documents and daily logs.
  • Represent Core States Group to all related parties including: Architects, Engineers, Owners, Vendors, and Municipal Agencies.
  • Overseeing sub-contractors, quality and safety procedures.
  • Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years as a Foreman with Electrical or Civil experience and/or Construction Superintendent experience on commercial projects
  • Experience with underground utility construction would be ideal
  • Comfortable working with a laptop, utilizing MS Office and other software programs as needed

Team

You will report to our Director of Field Operations and work with a team of Superintendents to support our projects.

Work Location:

Historically and currently most of our projects are in CA, FL and the Northeast. The ideal candidates, due to travel, would be located in Northern Florida area. If not located in this area we still welcome you to apply, however, your travel will likely be 100% of the time, whereas folks located in the ideal area will get home on the weekend every couple of weeks. This role comes with a company vehicle; however, you will also fly to projects as required.
