A Constuction Safety Manager at Austin will maintain a safety program to ensure safe construction operations on an assigned project or projects to protect the interest of the Company and its clients.

Requirements

  • Associates' degree required.
  • 6+ years' experience in field construction operations, 3 of those years with concentration in job site safety.
  • A thorough understanding of construction materials and construction practices.
  • Up to 80% travel is required for this role.

  • Establish, implement and maintain a safety program to reduce or eliminate worker exposure to accidents.
  • Conduct safety meetings and seminars to inform and train workers on how to conduct jobsite construction operations in a safe manner.
  • Enforce compliance with all federal, state, local and Company safety rules and regulations to provide a safe working environment on the project.
  • Inspect the jobsite continuously to ascertain construction activities are conducted in accordance with the safety program and to take immediate action to correct any unsafe condition.
  • Review and document any accidents to determine the cause of the accident and to establish procedures, which will prevent similar accidents in future, construction operations.
  • Maintain all records and ensure all steps are taken to be in compliance with OSHA standards.

The hiring/salary range for this position in California is $113,000 - $170,000 per year. Please note that this is a just a suggested framework and salaries could fall outside of this. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
