Construction Project Engineer

Metric Geo are partnered with an Iowa-based general contractor working across 30+ states looking to hire their next Project Engineer! You will need to be based in or be able to relocate to the St Louis for this position.

Experience on a variety of construction projects including industrial, healthcare, commercial & mission critical is ideal.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in gathering information for project estimates by thoroughly reviewing proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff details, and contracts.
• Provide technical support, including drawing interpretation, construction method recommendations, and assisting with extra work estimates and change order issuance.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly project status reports, including cost projections and progress updates.
• Lead a pre-construction team when directed by the supervisor, offering guidance, direction, and leadership.
• Assist with administrative duties such as issuing Owner and Subcontract agreements, scheduling, managing change orders, shop drawings, RFIs, and daily correspondence.
• Help prepare necessary closeout project documentation.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
