Ames Trenching & Excavating is under new ownership and looking for Experienced Operators!

Requirements:

  • 4+ Years installing underground utilities (water/sewer/storm/communications)
  • Valid Driver's License, CDL Preferred
  • 2+ Years heavy machinery operation on multiple pieces of equipment (minihoe, backhoe, trackhoe, tractor, skidloader, laser, dumptruck, etc.)
  • 2+ year working/laboring in trenches and "running a shovel"
  • Able to work alone or in a crew
  • Able to read specs and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of all underground utilities: water, storm sewer, sewer, communications, electric, etc.
  • An even demeanor and great attitude
  • Team-player
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Preferences:

  • Valid Iowa CDL
  • 3+ years experience running small crews
  • Bidding and estimating working experience

Pay

$28/hour + DOE
