Construction Manger

Successful candidates will perform construction project management oversight in direct communication with Jacobs Management and Client Managers. As an emerging Construction Manager, you’ll be focused on supporting the delivery of infrastructure, roadway / highway, and transportation structure construction projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a team of onsite support personnel and subcontractors. Additionally, you’ll support management of the construction team, project budgets, scheduling, coordination of work, reporting and leading on-site meetings with staff, subcontractors, and the client in accordance with the requirements specified in the contract documents. In some instances, you’ll be the primary point of contact for the client.

• Facilitate VDOT approval of lane closure requests from the developer by reviewing and recommending approval of lane closure requests as submitted by the contractor. Reviewing the impact of closures.
• Distribute weekly lane closure report to internal project stakeholders, including the Communication program for external distribution.
• Support the Emergency Operations Communications Plan and serve as first point of contact for MOT and incident management for the I-66 OTB project with 24/7 response.
• Maintain and serve as primary liaison with Public Safety agencies in the work zone.
• Track monthly state police and local law enforcement performance and expenditures.
• Support the communication program regarding Lane Closure coordination and alert process, as requested.
�� Represent the project at regional TMP and construction coordination meetings, as necessary.
• Oversee the lane closure inspection program.
• Review strategy requests from local jurisdictions impacting Local Network Operations and coordinate approval with VDOT project management.
• Ensure that data entry of lane closure information into the LCAMS & VA-Traffic system is done on a timely basis.
• Facilitate and or provide administrative support for MOT/LC Coordination meetings and tracking of MOT/LC processes and performance.
• Experience in a project related technical field
• Environmental Remediation experience
