Senior Associate - Renewable Energy

Our client is a leading multi-technology, high-growth IPP, and are a portfolio company to one of the largest clean energy platforms in the world, operating an impressive portfolio of over 20GW across the US.


The Construction Manager (CM) will be responsible for overseeing renewable energy and transmission projects from the mobilization phase through commissioning and project turnover. The CM will work closely with internal teams, including development, engineering, and asset management, as well as with external stakeholders such as lenders, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and permitting authorities.


JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead site representative, reporting to Project Manager
  • Develop work scope definitions and project execution plans
  • Coordinate activities between contractors and delivery of Owner Supplied Equipment
  • Audit construction documents for latest revisions
  • Prepare and submit daily reports with site staff input
  • Review RFI submittals and responses, discuss impacts with PM
  • Aid PM in evaluating contractor change order requests
  • Manage and track project schedules and progress
  • Identify and mitigate engineering and construction risks
  • Participate in project and RFI meetings
  • Assess nonconformances for project control software submission
  • Ensure compliance with permits and agreements
  • Supervise field staff, resolve conflicts, and review plans for necessary changes
  • Maintain full-time presence on-site, capable of navigating uneven terrain
  • Read and interpret contracts and engineering drawings
  • Lead preconstruction and construction teams across disciplines
  • Develop and manage project scopes and changes. Handle project controls, cost reporting, forecasting, and change order management. Engage and report to stakeholders


*Experience with Solar, Storage, and Substations is preferred.
