CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR -- Remote (Must be located in MST, CST, or EST)
The Construction Estimator accurately estimates projects by gathering qualified bids, reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related documents, and creating a market competitive cost position.
Responsibilities
Analyze drawings, specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards, and other information to provide material take-offs and accurate, market competitive cost estimates.
Work in Microsoft Office, BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, RS Means, and Contractor Blue Book programs
Create and compile detailed, accurate cost estimates
Obtain, organize, and analyze multiple subcontractor quotes across varying trades by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating price nationally.
Collaborate with Operations on operational strategy and ensure alignment with cost position
Support company financial goals and objectives for profit and margin.
Ability to scope and estimate small and large-scale one-off projects and programs.
Plot and route programs in mapping software systems such as Route4Me, etc.
Consult with project managers, vendors, and other departmental personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Meet with clients and communicate in a professional and knowledgeable manner
Host job walks and attend site visits.
Support continued development of subcontractor database.
Requirements
Degree in construction related field a plus
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a commercial construction estimator
Retail/Restaurant T1 experience a must
Programmatic roll out experience a must
Merchandising & fixture experience is a plus
Expert knowledge & understanding of the RFP Bid process
Expert knowledge & understanding of the CSI divisions
Existing vendor & subcontractor relationships a plus
Estimating certification is a plus
