Hellas Construction, a self-performing Civil Sports Construction Company, is looking to expand our Estimating Team in our Cedar Park, TX location. Qualified candidates will possess 4-5 years of prior experience estimating civil construction projects. Projects range from $200K to $25M, with an average project typically between $1.2M and $1.5M.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing construction documents and performing accurate takeoffs for civil construction-related quantities
Submitting requests for information to clarify existing conditions and proposed improvements, and submitting these to the responsible design professional in a timely manner
Developing materials and subcontractor resources and relationships in all market areas
Building estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, solicitation, and scope review
Analyzing and evaluating existing historical cost data to determine pricing
Providing value engineering options to optimize successful contract award opportunities
Preparing and soliciting bid requests for subcontractors
Reviewing quotes for scope compliance and buyout opportunities
Performing site visits on future bids to determine existing conditions and proposed scope of work
Attending pre-construction meetings to gather all pertinent data
Scheduling project phases and resources
Preparing thorough documentation files for handoff to the operations department for project implementation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Preferably 5+ years of experience in Civil Construction Estimating, including concrete, asphalt, aggregates, fencing, electrical, landscaping, irrigation, liner, and pipe work
Experience with storm water and sewer utilities is highly preferred
Must be able to work in the US without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
This position will work out of the Cedar Park, TX office Monday - Friday. Salary will be based on experience level.
