Configuration Manager

T-Rex Solutions is looking for a Configuration Manager to support the IRS IT Applications Development (AD) Data Delivery Services (DDS) organization's data modernization efforts, transitioning on-prem data and business intelligence (BI) processing to a new cloud-based platform called the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). This project will involve analyzing the current BI portfolio and creating a release plan that establishes what legacy functionality needs to be reengineered, rebuilt, and incrementally operationalized onto the new platform, and completing a Proof of Concept to determine the solution approach for migrating and refactoring their data.

You will be responsible for developing and maintain the CM Plan, policies, and procedures (including best practices across teams), executing CM throughout the project lifecycle (development, migration, deployment, and security), create and manage CM repositories, establish and promote product releases (baselines) following existing build and deploy processes, manage transitions from development team to operations, work with Development Leads to track code changes and version control, and conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) across lower and production environments.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience providing configuration management planning, as well as managing and creating provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits
  • Demonstrated experience regulating the change process, validating changes, and incorporating product documents and related software
  • Demonstrated experience with code repositories and code baseline management
  • Experience delivering work with Agile/Scrum practices & software release cycle
  • Proficient in AWS, Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python, and Java
  • 2+ years of experience working with clients and client deliverables on tight deadlines
  • 1+ years of experience working on projects of similar size and scope
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfort working in a fast pace and at times ambiguous project environment
  • Active IRS Security Clearance (preferred) or ability to be cleared
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $87,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
