Revolution Space is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. As Configuration Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our product's configuration throughout their lifecycle's. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective configuration management processes, ensuring compliance within aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a technical aptitude as well as a strong self-starting, process-oriented and problem-solving style.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and maintain configuration management processes and best practices, and select appropriate tools to support all CM processes.
  • Develop and administer program configuration management plans.
  • Perform standard configuration management tasks such as assigning part numbers, managing Bills of Materials and item attributes, creating Engineering Change Orders, and managing configuration items in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Database.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define and document product baselines, manage the change control process throughout the product lifecycle, and compile the as-built configuration and End Item Data Package (EIDP)for delivered products.
  • Prepare for and conduct configuration audits to ensure compliance with configuration management plans.
  • Maintain database of company NDAs and approved suppliers.
  • Lead and facilitate Configuration Control Board meetings to evaluate proposed changes and drive them to closure.
  • Generate configuration status reports for program stakeholders and management, present status of CM activities during critical design and manufacturing readiness reviews to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management and customers.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to generate and supply ECO packages for Suppliers.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree -in a relevant field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant aerospace/defense or commercial CM experience in a design engineering and manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as a PLM database Administrator (Arena or Agile preferred).
  • Experience managing configuration of software, engineering documents, design drawings, engineering changes and notices, and planning / conducting design audits of complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience with an ERP system.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Highly collaborative individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and team player attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively with program management, systems engineers, quality managers, and design / manufacturing engineers in an integrated product team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines while remaining flexible on changing work priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Sharepoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience in a DoD/aerospace environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of aerospace documentation requirements (EAR/ITAR export controls, End Item Data Packages, CDRLs and SDRLs).
  • SolidWorks certification.
