Computer Network Architect

This position is contingent upon contract award.

JANUS Research Group is seeking a motivated Computer Network Architect at Patuxent River in support of the NAWCAD WOLF IC2&IS division to perform tasks in support of assigned Distance Learning and Knowledge Management related technologies and systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of networks, including monitoring and responding to hardware, software, and network problems.
• Design and implement computer and information networks, such as LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets, and other data communication networks.
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analyses of capacity needs for on premise and cloud network infrastructures.
• Design network and computer security measures.
• Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
  
  

Required Education And Experience

• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution
• Of the minimum seven years of required experience, at least two years of the experience must be with engineering networks supporting the DoD.
• Additionally, at least five years of experience must include practical experience in secure network and system design, analysis, and procedure/test generation.
• CCNA certification required
