Computer Aided Design Designer

The Ranger Group, a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer for a Contract to Hire role in the Fort Worth Area. This role will require work to be completed 100% Onsite.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our team and play a key role in the product development process. You will leverage your expertise in SolidWorks and hands-on design experience to create high-quality technical drawings and contribute to continuous product improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop detailed mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Create accurate and clear technical drawings and documentation
• Participate in product reviews and collaborate with engineers to optimize designs
• Identify opportunities for product improvement and implement innovative solutions

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design for manufacturability (DFM)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality drawings
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AutoCAD
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and aluminum properties
• Background in HVAC systems (a plus)
