Role Overview:

This role presents a unique chance to join a rapidly expanding biotech organization, driving innovation and insight in the field of data science. As a Computational Biologist, you will lead strategic initiatives, collaborating closely with esteemed professionals in the life sciences industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced computational techniques to extract and communicate valuable insights from proteomics and other experimental data.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Proteomics to ensure experimental setups align with analytical objectives, fostering high-quality data analysis.
  • Partner with the VP of Software Engineering to develop bespoke data analysis pipelines, facilitating the creation of client-facing reports and visualizations.
  • Proactively assess client needs, championing solution development efforts to meet evolving requirements effectively.
  • Manage multiple client projects concurrently, providing regular updates on progress and adhering to project deadlines.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements, ensuring clients benefit from cutting-edge analytical methodologies.


Essential Criteria:

  • Hold a PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline, accompanied by a distinguished academic and professional track record.
  • 3+ YOE within computational biology or bioinformatics roles in the life sciences sector, with a specific focus on proteomics data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python and analysis tools such as Proteome Discoverer, Biopharmafinder, Spectronaut, DIA-NN, and MaxQuant is essential.
  • Familiarity with implementing machine learning algorithms for proteomic data analysis is highly desirable.
  • Display comprehensive knowledge of proteomics techniques, workflows, and data formats, coupled with a natural curiosity and aptitude for rapid skill acquisition.
