Role Overview: As a Privacy Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's adherence to privacy regulations and best practices. You will be responsible for analyzing new business initiatives and products to identify potential privacy risks, developing and implementing policies and procedures, collaborating with cybersecurity to align security and privacy compliance programs, conducting compliance monitoring activities, and tracking privacy initiatives to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA regulations.
Responsibilities:
Analyze new business initiatives and products to identify potential privacy risks.
Develop, amend, and implement policies, procedures, manuals, systems, and training as needed due to changes in regulation or industry practice.
Collaborate with Cyber Security to ensure alignment between security and privacy compliance programs.
Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring activities.
Track compliance and privacy initiatives to completion.
Coordinate and conduct data privacy audits.
Assist with data mapping and vendor management reviews.
Recommend and implement strategic improvements on data privacy and data protection issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in equivalent work experience.
2-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in privacy compliance or data protection.
Strong project management skills.
Detail-oriented approach with the ability to recommend and implement strategic improvements.
Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA regulations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
