We are seeking a highly skilled MRC Audit and Privacy Expert to join our compliance team at Mediaocean, LLC, a leading ad tech company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our measurement services meet the Media Rating Council (MRC) standards and for overseeing data privacy practices across the organization. This role is critical in maintaining our reputation for accuracy, transparency, and adherence to industry regulations.

What You Will Do

  • MRC Audit Management:
  • Lead the preparation and execution of MRC audits, including maintaining accreditation and annual reviews.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation and evidence to support compliance with MRC standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for MRC auditors, facilitating communication and addressing any queries or concerns.
  • Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and recommendations to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Privacy Compliance:
  • Develop and maintain privacy policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy frameworks.
  • Conduct regular privacy impact assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on data privacy practices and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and report on data privacy metrics, ensuring prompt response to data breaches and incidents.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and data teams to ensure that privacy and compliance considerations are integrated into the development and deployment of ad tech solutions.
  • Liaise with legal counsel to stay updated on regulatory changes and implications for the company.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure transparency and compliance in client communications and agreements.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of audit processes, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management and the board of directors on audit outcomes and privacy compliance status.
  • Ensure all documentation required for MRC accreditation is up-to-date and readily available.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, law, accounting or finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CIPP, CIPM, CIA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, compliance, or privacy roles within the ad tech or SaaS industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with MRC standards and audit processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using compliance management and audit software tools.
