Compliance Analyst

Legal.io is working with a tech company seeking an experienced Compliance Analyst. This is a hybrid, 1 year long, contact position which requires 3 days a week on-site in Charlotte, NC. There is potential for this role to convert to a direct hire employee.

Responsibilities

• Build processes for responding to CFPB, FDIC, DFPI, and Attorney General complaints along with handling sensitive member escalations from various business lines.
• Verify research received from other departments is accurate and complete to aid in responses to subpoena requests and regulatory complaints.
• Compile metrics for analysis and presentation to various levels of management.
• Organize and manage the documentation of key compliance processes across the company, building and cultivating positive working relationships across teams.
• Scope the necessary preventative and detective controls to mitigate compliance risk, detailing the requirements and managing implementation.
• Partner with relevant partners on remediation approaches and timeframes on identified issues, assigning ownership and tracking to completion.

Minimum Basic Requirements:

• 3-5 years of financial services experiences with a Banking Institution, Fintech or in a Compliance related role
• Direct experience with consumer protection regulations such as FCRA, ECOA, UDAAP, Reg E and RegZ/TILA
• Ability to review customer interactions end to end and identify what went wrong and what went right
• Organizational skills that will allow for momentum to move forward on key projects and tasks even while reprioritization and ad hoc requests are a constant
• Someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity -- can thoughtfully develop and implement processes that are scalable and repeatable
• Ability to synthesize and report on qualitative and quantitative data clearly, succinctly and confidently in verbal and written communications
• Able to draft formal correspondence with regulators with detail to grammar and voice

Hours: 40 Hours / Week

Location: Hybrid (Charlotte, NC)

Contract Duration: 1 year (August 2024 - August 2025, with potential to convert to a Direct Hire)

Hourly Pay Rate: $35 - $45 / hour
