Compensation Program Manager

We have an opportunity for a Compensation Program Manager to join our dynamic Human Capital (HC) Team at Techstars. Reporting to the Head of Global Total Rewards, the Compensation Program Manager will work closely with our high-performing HC team, including Human Capital Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Human Capital Operations and our Chief Human Capital Officer.

Core Responsibilities

Compensation Planning and Delivery:

  • Independently design and stand-up compensation processes, and deliver and manage compensation programs from ideation to execution in partnership with the Head of Total Rewards and the Chief Human Capital Officer.
  • Program manage and deliver global compensation projects including the execution of key design changes, complex modeling and analyses, budgeting, and implementation of new programs.
  • Design and manage the job evaluation process for the firm and support requests for new or revised roles to determine appropriate salary level assignments aligned with the job architecture.
  • Deliver annual compensation processes as part of the performance management cycle in partnership with other members of the HC team.


Compensation Administration

  • Support development of policies, procedures and process documentation as part of standardizing and systematizing compensation.
  • Administer all compensation plans from end-to-end including our equity and carried interest plans, in partnership with the finance and legal team.
  • Stay abreast of global, federal, and state employment law updates pertaining to compensation compliance and ensure that our internal processes and policies reflect the updates.
  • Support the management and design of our Human Capital Management System or HRIS (UKG) modules as it relates to compensation.


Market & Internal Compensation Analyses

  • Conduct complex modeling and analyses that includes data manipulation, visualization, querying, and reporting.
  • Analyze internal and market data including base compensation, bonus, commission, equity and carried interest to deliver recommendations that will attract and retain top talent.
  • Stay abreast of market and economic trends and use the data to inform recommended changes.


Executive And Organizational Support

  • Support the CHCO on analyses and presentations required for the Board and Compensation Committee, and other special projects.
  • Make use of market survey data and job classification principles and practices to support the Head of Total Rewards and Operations to develop innovative and creative strategies to attract and retain talent.
  • Collaborate with HCBP’s and Talent Acquisition to support our business goals and ensure market competitiveness while serving as the compensation expert to provide data driven recommendations and creative solutions.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive and specialized experience in Compensation; must have 3+ years experience in advanced modeling and data analysis that includes synthesis, visualization and presentation of the data.
  • Fluent in human capital system design and management with experience with UKG, Pave, Radford, Carta, Greenhouse and/or other compensation surveys, systems, and tools.
  • Bachelor Degree in human resources, statistics, economics, finance or other quantitative fields. Masters Degree preferred.


Compensation: $135,000-$150,000 with 10% bonus
