Job Summary

The Compensation Analyst will play a meaningful role in shaping our compensation strategy to ensure we remain competitive and equitable in our staff areas. The Compensation Analyst will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is competitive in terms of salary and overall compensation. This role also entails assisting with the administration and maintenance of our staff compensation programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage CompAnalyst system including uploading/maintaining survey data results for market data analysis.
  • Prepares compensation market analyses for external job offers and internal promotions and other job changes for review and approval by senior Human Resources management.
  • Assist in ongoing market reviews and make recommendations to maintain competitive salary ranges. Assesses job descriptions and pay grades against incumbent pay rates to determine areas of opportunity such as pay inequity, pay compression, or high pay range penetration.
  • Administer the compensation review cycle(s) including pre-planning, prepping the launch in the CompXL tool, and processing and auditing of payout files.
  • Generate compensation reports for data audit and analysis purposes.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and handles vendor relationships;
  • Utilize Job Architect to review and maintain job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect job content, salary grades, FLSA exemptions, and organizational structure.
  • Contribute to the development of compensation education and training materials.
  • Ensure the accuracy of compensation and job-related data in HRMS system.
  • Assists HR team with various research and/or special projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively audit data with a strong attention to detail and to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge or guidance, analyze and interpret data from several sources, solve problems by applying precedent or extrapolating from previous experience.
  • Advanced technical skills including knowledge of compensation market data/analytics and job description software (such as Salary.com) and MS suite with advanced skills in Excel/data manipulation.
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and managers in conducting job reviews
  • Experience as an analyst or similar capacity with compensation programs and systems. Proficient in using HR related software.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles and procedures.

Education

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree.

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress towards certification preferred.

Experience

This position requires a minimum of four years of directly related experience during which knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to the position were attained.

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The pay range for this position is $88,000-$120,000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. Other benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, and all-purpose leave. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
