Community Supervisor, Soho Works New York

The role…

This position will be responsible for assisting maintaining the appearance and atmosphere of the reception desk and basic computer duties, hosting in Soho Works, as well as performing reservationist responsibilities. Supporting the management team as needed.

  • Update the site Workchat with an overview of the day and member needs
  • Be the lead contact between the site and Regional Management Team
  • Organize and lead hourly walk throughs of the space and addressing any issues
  • Be the first point of contact on site for any member needs and escalate where needed
  • Assist with members meeting room needs
  • In charge of stationary orders and par levels through One drive
  • In charge of pantry orders and assisting PSA’s in weekly ordering
  • In charge of onboarding all new members with member cards, printer access, locker access and office if needed.
  • In charge of making sure all site and member info is correct in One Drive
  • Be well versed on all aspects, including all systems.
  • Greet and welcome all guests and members warmly at all times.
  • Receive calls for Soho Works, general inquiries, and deliveries, messages for guests and from employees; among other inquiries.
  • Responsible for answering the main line and sending calls in the right direction as needed.
  • Perform Guest List duties for special events.
  • Assist with any guest related issues.
  • Converse with guests and report any potential issues to their manager.
  • Maintain a fun and energetic attitude at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Regional Management team.
  • Train and develop new team members
  • Provide weekly updates on member stats and inquiries

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Being detail-oriented a must!
  • Must have a professional and friendly phone manner.
  • Schedule openness and flexibility
  • Computer literacy necessary – proficiency with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, & Excel.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is strongly preferred.
  • Keen ear and eye for accuracy a must!
  • Ability to multitask, often answering multiple phone calls at once in a fast paced environment while remaining calm under pressure

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
