Summary /Objective

TYR Sport is seeking a highly motivated and competent Community Specialist to join our team. As a Community Specialist, you will be responsible for building and growing our Brand through community activations, events, and initiatives that support the local community. You will develop and sustain local key relationships with gym/club owners, event organizers, and influential community partners to support key community initiatives. The primary focus will be driving sales traffic and revenue growth through our direct-to-consumer channels including our Fashion Valley Mall Store and TYR.com. The Community Manager will work closely with the marketing team to create engaging content and campaigns that support the community-building efforts, with the primary emphasis on community activation and sales growth.


Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute community-building initiatives, including events, activations, and partnerships, to drive sales traffic and revenue growth to the Fashion Valley Mall.
  • Collaborate with store leadership to bring community strategy and consumer experience to life in-store and around the region.
  • Establish and manage relationships with business owners to drive the acquisition and retention of accounts within the D2C channel
  • Meet and exceed goals/forecasts in specific KPIs
  • Appropriately forecast and manage the business to overall, channel, and product class goals
  • Interface with accounts to ensure contract fulfillment
  • Collaborate with marketing team to create content and campaigns that support community-building efforts
  • Attend, host, and participate in fitness and running events, pop-ups, and product launches to build brand awareness and drive sales
  • Engage with the local community to create partner opportunities, drive store traffic, build brand awareness, and identify future brand ambassadors
  • Interact with customers, respond to comments and messages, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Analyze community metrics and provide insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Work with the manager to manage a budget for event activations and promotional giveaways/product seeding strategy
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and news, and make recommendations for new initiatives and partnerships


Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Ability to forecast and plan direct-to-consumer and retail partner business
  • Must be proficient and comfortable in making product presentations to groups
  • Passion for the fitness and running industry
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work nights and weekends regularly
  • This position requires regular travel


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or similar study
  • Experience with sales, event planning, and execution is required
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM software and data analysis tools
