Under direct supervision, provides home visitation, outreach, and classes to pregnant and parenting women.
Major Duties, Responsibilities
Provides outreach to pregnant and parenting women within the community.
Conducts regular home visitation to identify risk factors; provides prenatal and parenting education; reviews information related to infant/child development, immunizations, safety, etc. Connects clients with community resources as needed.
Completes thorough documentation in a timely manner according to contract requirements.
Assists with community prenatal or parenting education classes as requested.
Provides support and education to nursing mothers. Links nursing mothers to community resources such as WIC as needed.
Provides Perinatal mood disorders and domestic violence intake with education and referrals to mental health or other professionals as needed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Some personal experience with breastfeeding and parenting.
Additional Requirements
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must possess a current fingerprint clearance card Issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Work Environment:
The work environment is associated with an office. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated. Some work will be in homes of clients with unknown conditions.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
