This job sits within Starbucks Global Communications on the Branded Experiences team. The team is responsible for creating up-leveled experiences for partner, customer, shareholder, and community events where Starbucks has a presence. This includes a combination of virtual, hybrid, and in-person meetings and experiences. We’re a nimble and flexible team, often adjusting our work to meet the immediate needs of the company with events that help drive Starbucks’s social impact and partner narrative. If you’re a team player comfortable getting your hands (sometimes clothes) dirty, and comfortable and confident working closely with our senior leaders, then this job may be a great fit for you.
As a communications specialist, you will…
Assists with the implementation processes for planning, tracking, communicating, and executing meetings and events including but not limited to: Partner Network Heritage Month Programming, Partner Open Forums, Roaster Events, Lunch & Learns, Surprise & Delight Pop-ups, etc.

As a communications specialist, you will…
- Acts as Volunteer Lead for the execution of on-site events and experiences.
- Supports the Branded Experiences team through ordering event supplies, including coffee, RTD, catering, etc.
- Assists with drafting, editing, and distributing support partner communications including a weekly newsletter, marquee event invitations, Wayfinder content, and more.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, agencies, and partners across the organization
- Ability to apply general business knowledge and experience in a complex, fast-paced global environment
- Ability to implement communication tactics both internal and external within a department or business unit
- Basic presentation, oral, and written communication skills
- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
