WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:  Fors Marsh is seeking a candidate who will provide full-time support to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and/or DHS sub-agencies in the areas of project management, content development, media relations, partner engagement, digital and social media, and more. As part of a team, you’ll collaborate with creative, writing, and communications staff to provide quality services to our federal clients.

  • This position is a contingent hire, meaning it is contingent on Fors Marsh winning an upcoming proposal. The interview process will be the same as our standard process, the offer letter (should we decide to move forward) will serve as a letter of commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, planning, design, and development of communications and marketing programs and products that convey information to targeted audiences in the most effective ways, through the most suitable media, to contribute to achieving specific impacts and desired effects.
  • Conduct research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
  • Plan, coordinate, or edit content of material for publication. May review proposals and drafts for possible publication. Includes technical editors.
  • Originate and prepare written material, such as scripts, stories, advertisements, and other material.
  • Assess communications needs, programs, and products through the effective application of interdisciplinary thinking, integrating principles and practices from the areas of communications theory, business and marketing, public relations, psychology, and organizational theory.
  • Contribute to the design and conduct of stakeholder analyses, outreach approaches, and other customer- and market-related research and interaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience 3+ years in project management support and communications strategy/strategic planning.
  • Experience supporting various facets of communications and marketing plans including strategy development, media relations, social media marketing, and project management.
  • Excellent organization, writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in software applications such as the Microsoft Office suite; the Adobe suites of desktop publishing, graphic design, and illustration applications; and other audiovisual design and editing applications.
  • US work eligibility required for this position due to our federal contract requirement.
  • Active security clearance within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agency or active Secret/Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.

Contingent hire position status.

Salary: $86,000-$108,000
