Creative Minds is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications and Outreach Coordinator. The Communications and Outreach Coordinator at Creative Minds implements Creative Minds communication strategy, manages social media posts and campaigns, coordinates website updates, assists with planning and execution of public outreach events, and works on the development of marketing and written materials.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • In partnership with the Chief Projects Officer and Director of Advancement, develops the schools communication strategy and implements plans.
  • Collaborate with all teams to understand priorities and identify opportunities to integrate them into the overall communication efforts.
  • Oversee Creative Mind’s social media accounts, develop strategies, and monitor content to enhance engagement.
  • Monitor and respond to posts on family engagement tools to ensure effective communication with the school community.
  • Create and update content for the school’s website, ensuring it is current and engaging.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on various communications and outreach metrics to inform strategy and ensure effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the staff to highlight and promote Creative Minds' mission and successes through various communication channels.
  • Lead the implementation of Creative Minds’ recruitment and engagement strategy, including developing marketing materials, planning and hosting events, and attending community fairs.
  • Develop and distribute Creative Minds print and online publications for education, development, and administrative purposes, such as e-blasts, newsletters, videos, annual reports, appeal letters, brochures, and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate the production of various high-quality marketing materials, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
  • Writes and/or edits documents as assigned, maintaining high standards of clarity and professionalism as part of the Advancement Team, and assists with hosting various family engagement activities and events.
  • Maintains the school’s calendar(s) to ensure accurate and timely scheduling of events and activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, education, or a related field
  • A minimum of three years of experience
  • An excellent storyteller
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, positive attitude
  • Proficient in web-based programs or applications
  • Proven track record in managing and coordinating complex projects
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Meet all employment requirements, including a satisfactory background check
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Amharic preferred
  • Experience working with diverse communities and families preferred
