As a Trader at Agro.Club, you will lead the company’s grain trading activities. You will be responsible for facilitating the sale of grain to domestic and international customers, optimizing trading strategies, and ensuring the company’s competitive position in the industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the grain market, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to forge lasting relationships with partners.


Key Responsibilities:

P&L ownership: Responsible for developing and growing a profitable trading P&L within agreed risk boundaries.

Market Analysis: Continuously monitor global grain market trends, including supply and demand, price fluctuations, and geopolitical factors affecting trade.

Trading Strategies: Develop and execute effective trading strategies to maximize profitability while managing risks associated with grain exports.

Sourcing: Identify and negotiate with domestic suppliers to secure a reliable supply of high-quality grain.

Customer Relations: Build and maintain relationships with domestic and international customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Logistics Management: Oversee the logistics of grain shipments, in collaboration with Merchandising Assistant.

Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks related to customers, suppliers, currency exchange, market volatility, regulatory constraints, and trade disputes.

Reporting: Prepare regular reports on trading activities, risks, positions, market analysis, and financial performance to guide decision-making.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant trade regulations.

Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with suppliers and customers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and legal departments, to ensure smooth and efficient trade operations.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Agribusiness, International Business, or Economics.

Proven minimum 3 years experience in grain trading or related agriculture commodity trading, in an a domestic or export-oriented role. Demonstrable track record.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Highly results oriented.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Understanding of international trade regulations and compliance.

Familiarity with risk management and hedging strategies.

Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to a fast-paced trading environment - Proficiency in using trading software and market analysis tools.

Willingness to travel internationally, if required.

Ability to generate immediate business via existing network of buyers and suppliers About Agro.Club Agro.Club is a tech enabled grain trading company, trading agriculture commodities like corn, soybeans, wheat, milo etc. We are a global company with a ~250 people team across approx 10 countries.
