Are you passionate about global health and making a meaningful impact around the world? We're seeking a driven individual to join our team as a Commodity Procurement Associate. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in the Global Health Supply Chain Program - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM), where your efforts will directly contribute to improving healthcare accessibility in underserved regions.
What You'll Do
As a Commodity Procurement Associate, you will act as a vital link between our country programs and global supply chain teams. Your responsibilities will include managing and validating requisition orders, coordinating with various teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, and liaising with stakeholders such as USAID Missions to finalize orders. Your keen attention to detail will be essential in tracking orders from initiation to delivery confirmation.
Key Responsibilities
Validate and manage requisition orders (ROs), ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines.
Collaborate closely with integrated supply chain managers and procurement specialists to optimize order fulfillment processes.
Communicate regularly with field offices and project management units to provide updates and ensure transparency throughout the procurement cycle.
Support reporting efforts by tracking and documenting order statuses using management information systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process efficiencies and participating in quality management efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain operations.
Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office suite; familiarity with VBA and/or PowerBI is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
Interest in global health and willingness to occasionally travel internationally.
