About the Position:

We are looking for someone with 1+ years of experience in the commercial insurance underwriting field to assist our Swyfft commercial underwriting team. You’ll come in on day one and start assisting with tasks such as policy review management, inspection analysis, and educating our clients via telephone, email, and Zendesk.

*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity that can be based in one of the following states only: AL, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, KY, LA, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.

Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.


Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)

  • Effectively communicate with clients via phone, email, and Zendesk in risk assessment, obtaining important information, and answering inquiries.
  • Order, process, and review inspections for accuracy.
  • Assist in computing premiums for new and renewal business and endorsements.
  • Work closely with new business and renewal underwriting to assist new business and renewal underwriters with underwriting analysis, inspection review, and documentation.
  • Process broker and member information changes such as address changes, backdates, and rate corrections.
  • Process daily loss run reports for agents.
  • Timely filing of new business endorsements for FL, TX, and LA.

Some Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in insurance underwriting or related position.
  • Eligible to obtain P&C (Property & Casualty) if needed.


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED) is required.


Computer Skills:

  • Must be proficient with MS Office, Zendesk, and other internal insurance related programs, systems, or applications. (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to communicate effectively using programs such as Slack & MS Teams. You are comfortable sharing screens and video chatting.


Other:

  • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
  • Designated quiet work from home space.
