What We Do
We're currently seeking an experienced Commercial Examiner with specific expertise in Ohio. As part of our team, you'll conduct thorough examinations of public records and titles, primarily focusing on commercial or industrial properties. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and summarizing recorded documents affecting property titles, independently examining real property titles of varying complexity, and establishing the chain of title. From straightforward parcels to intricate commercial properties, the projects you undertake will vary in scope and duration.
Responsibilities
Conduct title examinations for a diverse range of title orders, predominantly commercial/residential
Abstract and analyze records such as leases, liens, judgments, and easements to verify property ownership and legal restrictions
Address issues within title documentation, such as missing or contradictory information
Prepare initial title commitment documentation based on procedural guidelines
Review and ensure accuracy of reports
Provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of directly related experience
State license(s) if required
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Customer service orientation
Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous
Salary Range
$25.00 - $33.00 Hourly
