Salary: On target earnings (base plus commission) of $200,000+ annually depending on performance and experience

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer who specializes in construction and fix and flip lending. As a Loan Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our lending operations, contributing to the growth of our business by originating and closing commercial real estate loans. Your expertise in construction and fix and flip lending will be crucial in assessing loan applications, explaining the New Silver value proposition, analyzing collateral, and structuring deals that align with our risk appetite. Additionally, your ability to provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with borrowers and partners will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Originate and underwrite commercial real estate loans, specializing in construction and fix and flip lending with a targeted production of $5M in closed and funded loans per month
Conduct thorough analysis of loan applications, applicant credential and investment history, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess creditworthiness and determine loan eligibility
Evaluate collateral properties to determine their market value, condition, and potential risks
Structure loan transactions, including loan terms, interest rates, fees, and repayment schedules, while adhering to company policies and risk guidelines
Collaborate with borrowers, real estate investors, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide guidance throughout the loan process
Maintain a high level of customer service by proactively communicating with borrowers, providing regular updates on loan progress, and addressing any concerns or issues
Manage a pipeline of loan applications, ensuring timely follow-up and adherence to closing timelines. Manage a high-touch role while remaining accountable to productivity metrics and KPIs
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions related to commercial real estate lending, particularly in the hard money and private money space
Contribute to the continuous improvement of loan origination processes, systems, and strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity
Build and nurture relationships with potential borrowers, referral partners, and industry professionals to generate new business opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer, with a specialization in commercial or construction lending
In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate lending principles, practices, and regulations
Proven track record of successfully originating and closing hard money and private money loans
Strong financial analysis and underwriting skills, with the ability to assess creditworthiness and collateral risks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with borrowers, partners, and internal teams
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment and adapt to changing priorities
Self-motivated and driven to meet and exceed lending targets while maintaining quality standards
Proficient in using loan origination systems, CRMs, and other relevant software
Relevant certifications or licenses in real estate lending (e.g., NMLS) is a plus
