Commercial Litigation Solicitor

We are currently representing a renowned team specialising in large-scale document review, time-sensitive investigations, regulatory matters, consumer claims assessments, and volume claims management. Their expertise spans across various industries, including financial services, energy, retail, technology, media, and construction.

The Role

As a solicitor you will become an integral part of this dynamic team, working closely with Managers, Senior Solicitors, Trainees, and Legal Analysts.

Please note: Occasional travel to various locations, including offices in London, may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting document reviews, preparing chronologies, offering litigation support, and undertaking other practice area-specific fee-earning tasks (with target daily chargeable hours).
• Assessing claims or assisting in managing claims portfolios.
• Evaluating cases related to Group Litigation Orders and Remediation schemes.
• Ensuring Quality Control and providing constructive feedback to maintain output consistency with quality standards.
• Collaborating with other practice groups in the global network on relevant projects.
• Supervising Trainees or Legal Analysts as needed, particularly on complex legal matters.
• Staying updated on relevant areas of law.
• Compliance with financial disciplines in matters such as daily time recording.
• Providing additional support to the business on client matters and related tasks.

Qualifications And Skills

Technical

Essential

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales or Northern Ireland (Republic of Ireland or other common law jurisdictions considered).
• 2 years’ PQE preferably in commercial litigation.
  
  

Desirable

• Experience in a commercial legal environment, preferably a private practice law firm.
• Successful management experience, including direct reports.
• Knowledge and experience in Disputes practice group work, such as large-scale document review or claims assessment.
