Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Construction Loan Manager with expertise in Commercial and Industrial (C&I) lending to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial construction loan portfolio, overseeing the loan approval process, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial construction financing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the commercial construction loan portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate processing of loan applications.
Evaluate and underwrite commercial construction loan requests, including detailed analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and project feasibility.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with the credit team to structure and approve loans that meet the bank's risk tolerance and regulatory requirements.
Monitor loan performance, conduct regular reviews, and manage the loan collection process as needed.
Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures related to commercial construction lending.
Provide expert guidance and support to junior loan officers and other team members.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting commercial construction lending.
Participate in business development activities to grow the commercial construction loan portfolio.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CCIM, CFA) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction lending with a focus on C&I loans.
Minimum of 5 years of banking experience
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a commercial construction loan portfolio.
Strong knowledge of financial analysis, credit underwriting, and risk assessment.
Excellent understanding of commercial construction processes, project management, and related legal requirements.
Proficiency in financial software and loan management systems.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
