Brown & Brown has an exciting opportunity available for a Commercial Account Executive supporting our Property & Casualty team in Austin, TX!


The Commercial AE will be responsible for the retention and growth of an assigned book of business. The Account Executive builds relationships with clients and prospects to achieve client satisfaction.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Cultivate relationships with clients, prospects, carrier partners, and teammates to drive retention and new business
  • Lead renewal process for assigned book of business
  • Oversee the completion of administrative tasks including issuance of certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and processing policies/endorsements
  • Identify gaps in coverage and advise client and prospective clients with options; work through complex coverage needs
  • Review and document internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, policies, endorsements, and certificates to ensure understanding of client expectations, legal requirements, and insurance operations
  • Help grow the assigned book of business through account rounding and referrals
  • Support marketing and sales teams
  • Follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned


WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role - service/retail within Commercial P&C
  • Active TX P&C License
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial lines insurance coverage
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite/Excel, with the ability to learn new software’s
  • Experience working with AMS360 & ImageRight, preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability, with attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple projects/tasks to maximize the number of internal and external clients that can be assisted while maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgement
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting client requirements
  • Works in a collaborative, team-oriented manner, fostering empowerment and ownership for service quality.
  • This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If required, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position.
