Job Description Summary:

Essential Functions And Responsibilities:

  • Teaching material from the approved curriculum in accordance with an assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
  • Assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
  • Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and by getting in touch with and offering assistance to absent students.
  • Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
  • Motivate students to participate in all aspects of the educational process actively.
  • Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
  • Maintain university standards regarding course activity, emails, grading, and communication with Instructional Mentor and students.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications, Credentials, And Competencies:

  • Research Administration & Sponsored Programs:
    • A terminal degree in a related field like Research Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Professional Writing, English with Professional Writing focus, or a related discipline is required.
    • Extensive professional experience in research administration, sponsored programs management, or related roles is essential. Candidates should have a strong track record of success in these areas.
    • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) would be valuable.



  • Grant Evaluation & Supervision:
    • A terminal degree in a related field, such as Public Policy, Social Science, Evaluation, Professional Writing, English with Professional Writing focus, or a related discipline is required.
    • Candidates should have a strong record of research, writing, evaluation, and receiving of grants.
    • Previous teaching experience in grant writing, especially at the graduate level, is advantageous.
    • Substantial professional experience in grant evaluation and supervision, including roles in academia, government, non-profit organizations, or industry is preferred.
    • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) would be valuable.



  • Contracts for Sponsored Programs:
    • A terminal degree in fields such as Business Administration, Contract Management, Professional Writing, English with Professional Writing focus, Law, or a related discipline is required.
    • Candidates with a law degree (Juris Doctor) or relevant legal expertise and experience with contract law would be considered.
    • Extensive experience in contract management and administration, particularly in the context of sponsored programs and research contracts is crucial.
    • Possessing certifications related to contract management, such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) would be valuable.
    • All degrees must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
    • Applicants must demonstrate a personal faith commitment to the university’s evangelical Christian purpose.
    • Full adherence to the evangelical mission and doctrine of Liberty University.
    • Familiarity with and use of collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction.
    • Proven organizational skills and ability to complete assignments timely and accurately with minimal supervision.
    • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills.
    • Possess excellent interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff. Demonstrated strength or potential in teaching at the college level.
