Assist school leadership in implementing college and career readiness activities. Coordinate school programs and activities with university partner agencies. Mentor students in grades 9-12 on scholarship opportunities, college and university options, and all activities related to college and career readiness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist students in building post-secondary plans
Mentor students on available post-secondary opportunities
Facilitate student mentor meetings
Assist with student activities revolving around college and career readiness
Enhance students' understanding of post secondary options
Support students in writing essays for college applications
Facilitate parent meetings
Foster relationships with community organizations
Manage College Decision Day
Collaborate with teachers
Chaperone campus tours and skilled trade opportunities
Assist students with completion of FAFSA and scholarship applications
Supports College and Career Advisor in all aspects of student advising
Requirements
College graduate
Bilingual English/Spanish
Proven ability to work independently and analytically
Excellent verbal and written skills
Proficiency in basic computer skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
Strong organizational skills
Prior experience with analyzing data
High level of energy, creativity, and initiative
