Passion Prep (www.passionprep.com) is a national college consulting company that mentors high school students to get accepted into their dream colleges using their passion, strength, and true potential.
Our mission is to help students get accepted into their dream colleges with an emphasis on a healthy mindset. More than 70% of the workforce report unhappiness with their current jobs. As educators, our core mission is to help our students foster their strengths & passions as early as possible to maximize their full potential in college and beyond.
Passion Prep was originally founded by Julie Kim, a USC and Harvard graduate who immigrated from South Korea to the United States at the age of 9. During her high school years, Julie, like many others, struggled with the burden of the college admissions process and copied what everyone else was doing - join a lot of clubs, take a lot of AP & Honors classes, and volunteer 100+ hours - which felt more like “checking” off a box instead of doing something with actual purpose. Instead, by learning through her experiences, Julie found a healthier and more honest way of navigating the college admissions process, which later became the core foundation of our company - the Passion Project System. Using Julie’s college admissions strategies and mindset coaching, she and her team helped over thousands of high school students get accepted into their dream Ivy League & Top-tier colleges.
Passion Prep fully embodies that each student is born with a unique set of gifts and talents, and our job as counselors is to help students identify this and take the right action steps toward creating an enjoyable yet successful experience while navigating their college admissions journey.
