With the Co-Director of Admission and Financial Aid, the Co-Director of Admission and Outreach is responsible for developing and implementing processes for all recruitment enrollment, and matriculation efforts, ensuring a positive experience for all prospective students and families. The Co-Director will work closely with internal and external partners including, but not limited to: outplacement coordinators, educational consultants, and parent volunteers in ensuring that the goals of the admission office are met. The Co-Director helps plan and implement all of the school’s recruitment and admission marketing activities, serves on the financial aid committee, and serves as a liaison to the educational community to maximize enrollment of capable, mission-appropriate students.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Working with the Co-Director of Admission to support the day-to-day operations of the admission office.
Implement a variety of marketing initiatives, including events, external outreach and community and parent engagement, in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications.
Maintains a database of all Admission Office activity and enrollment, for prospective students.
Strives to meet enrollment goals for each grade.
Prepares reports for the Board and the Head of School as needed.
Schedules, coordinates, and runs Open House, visits, and campus tours.
Co-leads the Admission Committee process of evaluating applications.
Serves on the Financial Aid Committee in awarding tuition assistance.
Directs the planning, execution, and staffing of virtual, on-campus, and off-campus admission events.
Attends school fair events and visits feeder schools to promote EBS.
Hosts orientations, coffees, and events for admissions professionals from area schools as well as consultants.
Assists in the management of the financial aid program for new and returning students, including projections, budgeting, and strategic implementation of the program.
Develop and maintain relationships with teachers, school counselors, and placement personnel at feeder schools and community-based organizations.
Partners with the Director of Communications and Marketing in the development of communications plans as it relates to prospective and admitted families.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education/Experience
BA required; MA in a related field preferred
3-5 years of experience in either a secondary school setting or in the non-profit, community development sector with an education and service-related focus
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Experience with marketing and event management
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong communication and public relations skills, both written and spoken.
Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Ability to engage in difficult conversations or the growth mindset to learn how
A love for working with students and families, outstanding collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
Flexible, enthusiastic, and hard working
