Job Summary:

This full-time position is responsible for planning and overseeing department-specific continuing medical education (CME) seminars, larger department seminars, and training for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position will work in a collaborative, close relationship with marketing, faculty, and department staff to establish the schedules and work processes that contribute to the ongoing development, analysis, and evaluations of existing and proposed educational programs within the Department. These include the residency simulation program and overseeing the execution and planning of the academic calendar for the department.

In conjunction with multiple Education Core faculty, this position assists with planning, coordinating, developing, and implementing the processes for CME-accredited events, the department faculty mentorship program, and opioid training within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Position includes our regular CME and resident and fellows series, plus various educational lectures and meetings within the department both on campus and at off site locations. Position coordinates and implements faculty and staff development opportunities, and summer workshops, in addition to the mentorship program, and faculty promotions.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 1-2 days per week on campus, with Wednesday being a required day in-office, starting at 6:30am

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in hospitality management, communications, public relations, business administration, healthcare administration, or other related field.
  • Two (2) years of professional-level experience working in higher education.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis, but not for the specific experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with Canva and posting on various social media outlets.
  • Experience working with University of Colorado procurement systems (i.e. Concur, Marketplace, etc.).
  • Experience organizing educational programs
  • Meeting and event planning experience.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $52,961 - $67,367.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
