Job Description

The Cloud Transformation Project Manager will work with a cross functional team of Product Group Owners, Technology leads, engineers and other functional groups, and is responsible to ensure that the Pods are creating value for the organization through the delivery customer and platform focused product increments.

This entails aligning with other Product Owners and senior management to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, continuously assessing customer feedback, taking the pulse of the market and bringing in innovation and collaborating with stakeholders.

The Cloud Transformation Project Manager should always be considering how to maximize value,

assessing how the product or the delivery process can be continuously improved,

contributes to a positive work environment and ensures that work embodies the

Agile principles of transparency, collaboration, and engagement

Key Accountabilities:

  • Business/Customer Focused
    • Ensuring the co-creation and refinement of requirements (business value)
    • Understanding and anticipating the needs of the stakeholders and customers
    • Understand the technical scope of the Cloud Service(s) required for your product
    • Acting as primary communicator and liaison between the stakeholders and the team and ensuring all channels of communication are open as required.


  • Value Stewardship
    • Ensuring that the Pod is always working towards delivering the highest business value
    • Inspecting progress at the end of every iteration (sprintly/bi-sprintly) with complete authority to accept or reject work done
    • Capturing stakeholder feedback during reviews in order to refine existing product backlog items or co-create new ones for future consideration
    • Changing the course of the increment at the end of every iteration, as necessary, in order to ensure that the desired business value is delivered
    • Ensuring that cross-pod impacts related to their initiatives are communicated to other product group(s) when applicable.
    • Ensuring that cross-pod impacts that have been communicated by other pods are discussed and addressed as applicable.
  • Work Planning
    • Conveying the initiative vision/objective and key results; and ensuring it is understood by the pod(s)
    • Conveying the objectives at the beginning of every release/iteration and ensuring it is understood by the team
    • Generating and maintaining the list of work to be completed by the pod(s):
      • Writing product backlog items along with acceptance criteria
      • Ensuring the refinement of requirements (work) occurs so that the development team is able to confidently commit to the completion/delivery of work
      • Continuously prioritizing and sequencing the backlog to ensure that the team is able to deliver the highest business value iteratively and incrementally
    • Participating in the check-ins, planning meetings, reviews, retrospective and refinement as determined and defined by the team.
    • Making the work visible and transparent to the team
    • Mitigate identified risk, taking inputs from all members of the team and prioritizing risk backlog items appropriately.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will thrive in fast-paced, often ambiguous environments, and have experience in complex stakeholder environments.

Skills and Experiences:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in, backlog management, stakeholder integration.
  • Experience influencing at senior levels across matrixed structures to drive outcomes.
  • Solid grounding in Cloud technologies across one or more Cloud Service providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience in using tools such as JIRA/Confluence for managing backlogs
