What You Will Work On

  • Analyze cloud usage and expenditure to identify trends, patterns, and areas for optimization
  • Utilize cloud provider tools and third-party solutions to gather and interpret cost-related data
  • Collaborate with finance and IT teams to establish and manage cloud budgets
  • Monitor spending against budget allocations and provide regular reports to stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts of future cloud costs based on business growth, project requirements, and utilization patterns
  • Devise and implement strategies to optimize cloud spending through right-sizing, reserved instances, etc.
  • Engage with cloud service providers to negotiate pricing and terms
  • Implement and manage cost allocation processes to attribute cloud costs to projects, departments, or business units
  • Generate and present regular reports on cloud costs, trends, and optimization efforts
  • Develop and enforce cloud cost management policies and best practices

What You Will Do

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • Certification in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud cost management, analysis, budgeting, and optimization
  • Expert knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP pricing models and cost management best practices
  • Proficiency with cloud cost analysis tools (CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc.)
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and present complex data in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience creating and managing budgets
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Experience negotiating contracts with cloud providers
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and system architectures
  • Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools
