About the Company:
We are looking to expand our outdoor clothing line and are in search of the right candidate to join our team. We are looking for someone to design and build clothing that meets the needs of hunters, backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts. As an essential part of the Product Design Team, you will be responsible for R&D, sketching, fabric exploration and prototyping. A background in outdoor clothing design is an asset but not required. The ideal candidate would be willing to relocate to our headquarters in Wyoming; however, a remote position is possible for the right individual.
About the Role:
- Hours: (40 hours /week).
- Pay: Onsite and remote salary may vary.
- Position to Start: July 2024.
- Eligible for benefits: After probation period (90 days) eligible for PTO, Sick Leave, Bereavement, Health insurance, Dental, HSA account and product discounts.
About You:
- You are proactive and can identify challenges while also proposing effective improvements in building and elevating products.
- You can provide technical direction in the development of new products.
- You can ensure that products meet the brand’s fit & quality standards.
- You're collaborative and pursuing product excellence while meeting specification standards.
- You've strong time management and can work within timelines and to meet deadlines in accordance with the sourcing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and 5+ years of experience designing.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop), Excel and Google Documents.
- Possess leadership skills and the ability to manage processes.
- Extensive garment construction knowledge, material knowledge and knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
- A keen eye for product design and trends with an appreciation for innovation and a modern backcountry aesthetic.
- Self-starter, driven by enhancing the consumer experience through superior product craft.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to contact, communicate and work directly with manufacturers.
- Superior knowledge in applying and performing design skills, including product sketching & illustrations, concept ideation, color theory, use of texture, print and visual presentation development.
