The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is responsible for providing leadership and clinical supervision to the clinical staff while ensuring that high quality treatment services are delivered in accordance with evidence-based practices and remain compliant with regulations and mandates.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The CS provides clinical supervision, both group and individual, to clinical staff and interns and complies with all documentation requirements for licensure or certification purposes
The CS will identify training needs and professional development for clinical staff to make sure that all services are delivered by highly trained and proficient clinicians
The CS assists staff in the development of collaborative relationships with outside provider agencies and referral sources
The CS will review all clinical files on a regular basis to provide quality assurance and guidance to staff. The CS assists staff with crisis intervention and guidance with clinically challenging situations
The CS will assist with development of program curricula that adhere to evidence-based practices and are consistent with the core values of the Sunrise Ridge program
The CS will be familiar with DCF processes as well as the implementation of Plan of Safe Care
The CS will know and enforce the requirements and procedures for reporting suspected cases of child abuse and neglect in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 119, Section 51A
The CS will be responsible for facilitation of groups and providing direct counseling to clients on an as needed basis
The CS participates in provider meetings, professional development training, scheduled case conferences, and other GAAMHA and Sunrise Ridge meetings as required
The CS will work with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures
The CS is responsible for assisting with reporting and tracking for GAAMHA and State and Federal Agencies
The CS will ensure that program services are compliant with state and federal regulations as mandated by contracts with funders/licensors
The CS will represent GAAMHA in the community and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values and professional standards of the agency. Other tasks may be deemed necessary
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The CS must have a master’s degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work or a closely related field. Valid Certification or Licensure in Substance Use Disorders or Mental Health (CADC, LADC-I, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC) is strongly preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in substance use counseling and a minimum of (2) years of clinical supervisory experience in a co-occurring setting. The CS must possess a working knowledge of mutual aid support groups and embrace multiple pathways of recovery. Must have excellent oral, written, and social skills and the ability to demonstrate cultural competence and carry out all duties in compliance with HIPAA and 42CFR Part 2 consistently. Individuals with experience working in recovery homes and/or with BSAS funded programs and treatment services for pregnant and postpartum women is a plus. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license. The candidate must be able to pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check and the Adam Walsh/CPS Background Check.
Supervision Given: Clinical supervision is given to all clinical staff.
Supervision Received: The Clinical Supervisor is supervised by the Program Director.
