Spectrum Healthcare Resources Has a Potential Opportunity For a Civilian Clinical Pharmacist- Oncology Supporting Keesler Air Force Base In Biloxi, MS. This Contract Position Offers
Full-time opportunity, 8 to 10 hour shifts
Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6am - 8pm
Outpatient setting
No on-call responsibilities, some night and weekend shifts may be required

Job Duties
Ability to review oncology, intravenous (IV) medication therapy, neonatal care, nutrition, pain therapy, and geriatrics orders.
Provide guidance in dispensing medications, making purchasing decisions, monitoring drug therapy, verifying calculations and preparing IV medication, and overseeing drug administration.
Counsel Physicians and clinicians during rounds to discuss proper patient medications and dosing.
Educate discharge patients on medications.
Knowledge of operating electronic medication vaults (i.e. Pyxis, Omnicell, etc.) for removal and replenishment of narcotic medications.
Able to operate pharmacy electronic patient profile computer systems such as AHLTA, CliniComp, MHS Genesis, or CHCS computer systems.
Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
Counsel Patients regarding appropriate use of medications. Ability to educated discharge patients on medications.
Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.
Job Requirements
The Pharmacist will have the following requirements:
BLS Certification
Any state license
Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Pharmacy
Board Certification
Experience: Option 1: Must have documentation of appropriate education, training, and/or CME in the practice of clinical pharmacy. Experience requirement may be met based on documentation of appropriate education and training in the practice of clinical pharmacy. Must have 12 months within the previous 24 months full time experience. OR Option 2: Board certification in one or more of the pharmacy specialties recognized by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. OR Option 3: Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency or fellowship accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or American College of Clinical Pharmacy
Inpatient
Must be licensed for a minimum of 2 years ; and a minimum of 12 month of consecutive, full-time inpatient pharmacist experience within the last 24 month in an Inpatient hospital setting
Oncology
Board certification in Oncology Pharmacy, or Board eligible for Oncology Pharmacy Certification with minimum of 4 year experience in hospital oncology pharmacy operations as a full-time Oncology Pharmacist in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy setting
